Behold, The Wishing Wall

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Jay & I wanted to make something special for “our niece Reese”. After Sarah found a cardboard version of a wishing wall, she was considering buying, we decided that something similar, but more personal, and made with better materials than cardboard was in order. Friends & family wrote their wishes on pieces of paper and [...]

I am happy to announce that I have been selected as the winner of the St. Baldrick’s T-shirt design contest for this year. So everyone who participates (including my husband) will be sporting a t-shirt that I designed, how fun is that? You can read all about it here >

Idaho

Monday, November 30th, 2009

In October, we took a trip to Idaho to visit Jay’s parents. They recently relocated from New York State to just 5 hours away from us, and we are thrilled at the fact that we can drive there and Murphy can come too!

New York, New York

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Aside from the horrible “trapped on a commuter plane, sitting on the tarmac for 3 hours” experience on the trip out to NY, our trip went pretty smooth. The first night the thunder & lightening was so intense I literally thought I was going to get struck by lightening IN the bed, but after that [...]

Cancer Schmancer, Who Needs Hair

Friday, February 20th, 2009

Jay is shaving his head again this year with St. Baldricks to benefit childhood cancer research. He has joined Patrick Rosenthal’s team, Jay’s semi-surrogate nephew. Patrick is 5 years old and has made the decision to shave his head this year with the big boys. He realized first hand that doing this will help kids [...]

Marriage Boosting Freebie!

Monday, January 26th, 2009

This weekend we went down to Vancouver, WA with Sarah & Josh to participate in a marriage retreat. My friend Ami had told me about it because she had gone with her husband in December. It was a free workshop, sponsored by a government grant to promote healthy, happy marriage. So I signed us up [...]
